Merryfields Barn is a luxury 5-star self-catering property in Llangattock, near Crickhowell, in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Set in 2 acres, the barn has stunning views of nearby Crickhowell, the River Usk valley and the Black Mountains including Table Mountain and Sugar Loaf. The barn was built in 2009 and is located in a peaceful, rural hamlet of 20 houses called ‘Ffawyddog’, meaning Beech Grove in Welsh. Merryfields Barn has a cosy yet modern feel throughout, with everything you’ll need for an enjoyable holiday including excellent sound system and wired Internet. There are solar panels and under-floor heating throughout downstairs, to ensure you’ll never be cold. In warm weather, the barn has two sets of oak French doors which open onto patio areas, one with fabulous mountain views over a fruit orchard and the other completely private, with a barbecue area, outside furniture and views of Llangattock escarpment. It’s easy to relax with a coffee or glass of wine whilst taking in the stunning views, watching the buzzards and red kites or our resident family of Tawny Owls.
There is an enclosed paddock with a small stream, a enclosed dog exercise area and, adjacent to the property, a parking area for four cars.
